- W2365689268 abstract "Objective: To study the effect of transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation(TEAS) on sevoflurane anesthesia in upper obdominal operation. Methods: 40 patients undergoing selective epigastric operations with ASAⅠ~Ⅱwere randomly divided into group A(20 cases) and B(20 cases). In group A,TEAS was performed and sevoflurane was inhaled during operation. In group B,only sevoflurane was inhaled.Electrical stimulation on Nei-guan,He-gu and Zu-sanli acupoints was performed for 30 min before induction of anesthesia in group A while patients in group B waited for 30min.After intubation,in group A,TEAS was performed persistently and sevoflurane was inhaled, meanwhile remifentanil 0.15μg was infused during operation. In group B,only sevoflurane was inhaled and the same dose of remifentanil 15μg/(kg·min)was infused. At different time points: before TEAS(T0),skin incision(T1),exploratory laparotomy(T2),30min after exploratory laparotomy(T3),60min after exploratory laparotomy(T4),mean anteical blood pressure(MAP),heart rate(HR) were observed, and the concentration of serum cortisol and angiotensinⅡwere measured. The consumption amount of sevoflurane was recorded. Results: MAP,HR,Cortisol and angiotensin Ⅱwere increased at T1 and T2 compared with T0(P0.05) in both groups.MAP,HR,Cortisol and angiotensin Ⅱwere not significantly different at every time point between the two groups(P0.05).During operation, the consumption of sevoflurane in group A reduced 32% compared with that in group B(P0.01).Conclusion: TEAS combined with sevoflurane has synergistic effect on general anesthesia and reduces the consumption amount of sevoflurane and keeps the same stress response." @default.
