- W2365932702 abstract "Objective: To investigate hearing impairment of diesel locomotive and electric locomotive drivers.Methods: A total of 298 diesel locomotive drivers and 356 electric locomotive drivers were recruited and carried out hearing test during Sep 2011 to Sep 2012.T test and χ2test were used to analyze the results of the hearing test.Results: There were 106(35.6%) diesel locomotive drivers and 85(23.9%) electric locomotive drivers had been tested with hearing impairment,and the distribution difference was significant(χ2= 10.729,P = 0.001).The type of binaural high frequency hearing impairment enjoyed the largest number,and there were 92(30.9%) diesel locomotive drivers and 75(21.1%) electric locomotive drivers had been tested with it,with significant distribution difference(χ2= 8.202,P = 0.004).With the increasing of length of the time employed,the rate of hearing impairment rose(χ2= 7.135,P = 0.008).Conclusions: The hearing impairment during locomotive drivers was widespread,and the prevalence of diesel locomotive drivers was higher than electric locomotive drivers.The binaural high frequency hearing impairment was the type with the largest individuals.With the increasing of working years,the prevalence of hearing impairment rose." @default.
