- W2366160824 abstract "Objective:To explore the relationsbuip the predictive value of serum inhibin-B (INH-B) level and the spermat to genesis in azoospermia.Methods:A total of 50 patients with azoospermia,and 38 fertile volunteers were involved in this study.A week before an indicator of percutaneous epididymal sperm aspiration (PESA)/ testicular sperm extraction (TESE),the levels of FSH,INH-B and testis volume were measured.Results:1) The patients who had sperms on PESA (group A) and fertile volunteers (group C) had significantly lower level of serum FSH and significantly higher levels of INH-B and testis volume than the patients who had no sperm on PESA(group B).There was no significant difference on the levels of FSH,INH-B and testis volume between group A and group C.2) Serum INH-B was significantly higher in patients who had sperms on TESE (group B1) than in those who had no sperm on TESE (group B0),but there was no significant difference on the level of FSH and testis volume in both groups.3) Group B with serum level of INH-B＜41.56 pg/ml had low chance to find the spermatozoa on TESE. Conclusion:Serum INH-B more directly reflects the spermatogenesis than serum FSH level and testis volume,and can be more accurate in predicting the outcome of TESE." @default.
