- W2366652303 abstract "The wear and corrosion resistance of RE-Ni-W-B-SiC composite coatings is investigated. The results show that the composite coatings containing 0.35%RE, 20%W, 4.8%B and 15%SiC are obtained in appropriate bath composition under controlled plating conditions. The hardness and wear resistance of the composite is increased when some RE (rare earth) is added in the bath. The heat treatment temperature has considerable effect on the hardness and wear resistance of the composite coatings: the hardness reaches the peak value at 400℃, while the wear resistance rises to the optimal value at 500℃. The wear resistance of the composite coatings is about 4～5 times that of hard chromium. Corrosion experiments indicate that the corrosion resistance of the composite in various corrosive media except nitric acid is superior to that of 1Cr18Ni9Ti stainless steel. " @default.
