- W2367030434 abstract "Large-scale land subsidence and submergence have occurred across the Huainan and Huaibei coal mine areas,which have led to a shift from regional agricultural ecosystem to aquatic ecosystem. This causes significant changes in ecosys-tem structure and function. Scientific evaluation of the functional changes of ecosystem service values would be greatly con-tributed to understand the disturbance impacts of mining activities on the local ecological system. In this research two repre-hensive sites in Huainan and Huaibei coal mine areas have been selected to evaluate changes of their ecological service values before and after mining activities. According the method to assess the values for farmland ecosystem and aquatic ecosystem service, we have evaluated and compared their valuable shift between two types of ecosystems quantitatively by choosing rea-sonable index system. The research results have indicated that the total value of the aquatic ecosystem service is greatly im-proved from farmland ecosystem because of diversified functions in the aquatic ecosystems. In the Huainan research area, the value in the aquatic areas is rising to 95 203~133 089 yuan·hm-2·a-1from the original 53 845 yuan·hm-2·a-1in the farmland,while it is increased to 82 948~93 204 yuan·hm-2·a-1from 47 624 yuan·hm-2·a-1for the Huaibei areas. The original value of farmland products are mainly changed into the value of water supply due to formation of large water storage capacity, which is accounted for around 45% ratio tot the total service value in aquatic ecosystems. Functions of moisture regulation and water quality purification have been also significantly enhanced for subsidence waters, taking ratio of 48% in the Huainan areas and40% in the Huaibei areas to the total ecological value, respectively. However, primary products and gas regulating ability in aquatic ecosystems have been attenuated by 80% ~90% compared to farmland because of its declined primary productivity,whereas its function for biodiversity service improved in the aquatic zones." @default.
