• W2367107289 abstract "Objective To investigate the attitude and needs for specialty master nursing education program among hospital administrators and nurses with bachelor degree. Methods A total of 20 directors of nursing departments,32 nurses with high professional title and 371 nurses with bachelor degree from 12 affiliated or teaching hospitals of Peking University were recruited and investigated by the methods of questionnaire survey and interview. Results More than 90% of the directors of nursing departments and nurses with high professional title,as well as 80% of the nurses with bachelor degree regarded the specialty master nursing education program as necessary. The preferred specialties were ranked as critical care,emergency care, diabetes nursing and cancer care. The preferred abilities need to be trained were scientific research,specialty knowledge and skills,teaching and administration. The clinical tutors needed to be improved in the abilities of scientific research,teaching,as well as specialty knowledge and skills. Conclusion It is necessary to set up specialty master nursing education program. It is suggested to make full use of the advantages of school tutors and clinical tutors together to train specialty nursing graduates." @default.
