- W2367711546 abstract "The satellite altimeter data can be used to provide for us the global sea surface topography,the wave on sea surface,sea surface roughness,to detect the boundary and trend of ocean current,and to analyze the thickness of ice band on polar regions.So it is very miportant for people to know well earth and ocean since satellite altimetry is studied in a deepgoing way.However,due to the altimeter data is disturbed by some factors in the offshore,the precision of altimetry is lower.Thereinto,the precision of ocean tide model is one of major factors which influnce the quality of altimeter data.The two familiar ocean tide models including CSR4.0,NAO.99band tide gauge station data are used to analyzed detailedly the error of sea surface height,amplitude and phase angle in four partial tides in the paper.Sea surface height derived from CSR4.0,NAO.99band 11tidal gauge stations are used to assess the accuracy of tide models.It is showed that CSR4.0has higher accuracy of sea surface height than NAO.99bover China seas,RMS are 0.6493mand 0.8967mrespectly.Over Chinese Taiwan seas,accuracy of NAO.99bare better than CSR4.0and RMS are 0.3673mand 0.3043mrespectly.The error of amplitude,phase lags,root-meansquare of tidal height,and relative error are derived from comparision between tidal gauge station data and tide models.The result show that the error of amplitude of O1partial tide is the least,only 1.78cm,while M2partial tide is the most,up to 3.58cm.The accuracy of NAO.99bis better than CSR4.0for error of tidal height,the least error lies in O1partial tide,is only 1.66cm but the most error,M2partial tide up to 4.35cm.For relative error,The accuracy of NAO.99bis also better than CSR4.0,the most difference of error lie in S2partial tide,the error is0.16and 0.48respectively.When the altimeter data is used to study the variations of sea level,it is adapt to make use of CSR4.0tide model to have a tidal correct for altimeter data in China seas,however,it is more appropriate to make use of NAO.99btide model to study the marine tidal distribution characteristics in China seas based on above analysis and results in the paper." @default.
