- W2367712551 abstract "Objective To evaluate the effect of Parecoxib as preemptive analgesia on patients with controlled epidural analgesia(PCEA) in patients underwent gynecologic surgery. Methods Ninety patients aged 25~55yrs(by ASA I or II) underwent selective gynecologic surgery under epidural anesthesia were randomly allocated to three groups(30 cases in each group).Parecoxib sodium 40 mg was administered either 30 min prior to surgical procedure to the patients in Group I or at the end of surgical procedure to the patients in GroupII.The patients in group Ⅲ without Parecoxib administered were treated as the control. All patients in the three groups were treated using patient-controlled epidural analgesia(PCEA) with 0.12% Ropivacaine for the postoperative analgesia. The analgesic effect was measured using VAS at 4,8,12,24 and 48h after surgical procedure and the consumption of ropivacaine and adverse responses were also recorded. Results Patients' satisfaction for postoperative analgesia were significantly lower in group Ⅲ(5.7±2.6) than those in groupⅠ(8.3±2.1) and Ⅱ(7.2±1.8)(P0.05).VAS at 8(2.64±0.18),12 h(1.33 ±0.52) and 24 h(1.08±0.57) after operation were significantly lower in group Ⅰthan those in group Ⅲ 8 h(4.65±0.54),12 h(3.86 ±0.77) and 24 h(3.09±0.67)(P0.05).The frequency of bolus of ropivacaine using PCEA was significantly lower in the patients in group I(5.56±6.34) and total times(11.67±15.16) were lower in group Ⅰthan those in group Ⅲ(9.69±8.68),(18.36±12.59).The total consumption of ropivacaine were significantly higher in group Ⅲ[(239.78±19.31) mg] than those in groupⅠ[(187.46±22.59) mg]and groupⅡ[(209.39±19.12) mg](P0.05).The adverse effects during PCEA were significantly higher in group Ⅲ than those in groupⅠ(P0.05).Conclusion Preoperative administration of parecoxib sodium can enhance the analgesic outcomes of PCEA with ropivacaine and reduce consumption of ropivacaine during PECA." @default.
