- W2367745611 abstract "Objective The present study was aimed to observe the dynamic rehabilitation process of rabbits' massive bone defects by calcium hydrogen phosphate/collagen composites produced by Nanjing Medicine Sci. Tech.. Co.,Ltd.. Methods Five New-Zealand rabbits were used as experimental animals for composites implantation. After anesthetized with pentobarbital sodium,every rabbit got a 10 mm bone defect at left ulna. The calcium hydrogen phosphate/collagen (DCP/CO) bone substitutes were inserted into defects. Biocompatibility and osteoinductive potentials of these bone substites were assessed with macroscopic examination,histological examination,dynamic rehabilitation process was observed by X-ray photography at 0,7,14,21,35,42,49,55,62,69,76 days after implantation in vivo. Resutls Calcium hydrogen phosphate/collagen (DCP/CO) composites were completely biodegraded and absorbed within 76 days after surgery,the defects were completely repaired. X-ray photography demanstrated that ossification and bone lamella at defects,osteo-regenesis could be observed 7 days after implantation,the two ends of defects closded up 49 days after implantation,hyperplasia and adhesion with radius occurred between 49 to 55 days after implantation. Then underwent hyperplasia and absorption until healed completely 76 days after implantation. Histological examination demanstrated that osteon was obvious,but bone lamellar structure was not obvious. Osteoblasts could be seen in dispersed bone lacunas. There were vessels in bone central canals. No compostie remnants were observed. Conclusion Calcium hydrogen phosphate/collagen composites imitating cancellous bone produced by Nanjing Medicine Sci. Tech. Co.,Ltd. could be used to repair massive defect in place of autogeneous bone graft." @default.
