- W2367782026 abstract "Objective regionalization of the rainfall field in summer is done with the monthly mean rainfall of 86 stations in Southeast China from 1954 to 1990. Based on this, the statistical parameter characteristics, the trend, the periodicity, and the flood and drought features of the regional mean rainfall series in each region are studied carefully. The results show that the rainfall in summer in Southeast China can be regionalized into five regions. The binomial fitting shows that there exists a parabolic trend in region Ⅲ and region Ⅳ apparently. In the process of finding periods, two period belts, which are 5～9 years and 10～14 years, are discovered in each region (except for region Ⅰ). With the statistical testing, there is no principal period in region Ⅰ, but there are two shorter periods in region Ⅱ, five principal periods in region Ⅲ, Ⅳ, and Ⅴ. The variation is distributed in a longer than ten years period in region Ⅲ, Ⅴ, and in a shorter than ten years period in region Ⅱ and Ⅳ. These principal periods are also used to fit the initial rainfall series; the results are very good. The investigation of dryness and wetness states that it was dry or wet frequently in each area in six years of the 1950s, less drought in the 1960s, normal in the 1970s and flood in area Ⅰ and Ⅱ, less drought in area Ⅲ and Ⅳ, normal in area Ⅴ in the 1980s." @default.
