- W2367871690 abstract "Objective To study the changes of 20-item neonatal behavioral neurological assessment(NBNA)with cord blood lactate. Methods During Feb.2005 to Mar.2006,269 cases of newborn were born via vagina in our hospital. 95 newborns with fetal distress(distress group)and 174 healthy newborns (control group) were studied. Distress group were divided into distress group Ⅰand distress group Ⅱrespectively, based on without neonatal asphyxia. The lactate level and the PH value of cord arterial blood were determined respectively. At the 4th～6th days and the 26th～28th days,NBNA was taken for each subject. Results The levels of cord blood lactate in the distress group Ⅰand distress group Ⅱ(3.57±1.17)mmol/L,(3.84±0.72)mmol/L were significantly higher than that in the control group (2.82±0.68)mmol/L (P0.01).The pH values in the distress group Ⅰand distress group Ⅱ were markedly lower than that of the control group (7.21±0.06)vs.(7.26±0.07), (7.19±0.11)vs.(7.26±0.07) (P0.01).The 4th～6th days and the 26th～28th days NBNA in the distress group Ⅱ (33.82±2.46),(36.50±1.00) were significantly lower than that in the control group (36.71±1.18),(38.11±1.17) and distress group Ⅰ (36.42±1.16),(38.10±1.16)(P0.01). The lactate level was negatively correlated with the PH value and the score of NBNA (r=-0.67,r=-0.78,respectively,both P0.01). Conclusions NBNA association with cord blood lactate can provide the proof for diagnosis and prognosis of fetal distress." @default.
