- W2368050257 abstract "Objective To explore the relationship between the selected genetic markers of the candidate genes with type Ⅱ diabetes mellitus in Chinese Methods The genetic markers of glucokinase (GCK) gene, fatty acid binding protein2(FABP2) gene, and NIDDM1(D2S140) were selected to perform the classical linkage analysis under the autosomal dominant and recessive genetic modes Results The maximal logarithm of odds(LOD) score of GCK with type Ⅱ diabetes was 0 600 704(θ=0 000 000) at autosomal dominant mode in family 25010, and 0 903 088(θ=0 000 000) at autosomal recessive mode in family 23002 and 25002 The maximal LOD score of FABP2 with type Ⅱ diabetes achieved 0 884 261(θ=0 000 000) at autosomal dominant mode in family 60001 and 0 903 088(θ=0 000 000) at autosomal recessive mode in family 25002 The maximal LOD score of D2S140 with type Ⅱ diabetes attained to 1 128 301(θ=0 000 000) at autosomal dominant mode in family 20010 and 0 903 088(θ=0 000 000) at autosomal recessive mode in family 25003 Conclusions The variations of GCK, FABP2 and NIDDM1 genes might exert micro effects or participate the accumulation of multi gene effect in the development of type Ⅱ diabetes, though there is not enough evidence to demonstrate confident linkage between any of the genetic markers above and type Ⅱ diabetes at the level of single pedigree All the outcome in this study needs more Chinese pedigree data for further confirmation" @default.
