- W2368315104 abstract "In the paper,we have conducted experimental studies on the leakage manner of the liquefied 1,1,1,2- tetrafluoroethane through a hole and the experimental results have been recorded via taking high speed photographs. Our study is mainly focused on the initial cloud evolution,the leakage mass flow rate and the jet velocity by way of horizontal and vertical jetting,though we have also done experiments on the jet angle of the horizontal jet.The experimental results we have gained were used to make a comparison with the theoretical values,which reveals that the horizontal jet cloud appears to be the eddy around the tail. The eddy results in the entrainment between the air and the two-phase cloud,the mass diffusion rate is found increasing from the cloud to air. In the meantime,the vertical jet cloud can result in a liquid pool on the ground. As the liquid pool increases the mass transportation area from the liquefied 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane to the gas and constitutes the main area of heat transfer and mass transfer. The change of horizontal jet angle tends to be similar to the pressure in the vessels. In initial stages of the release process,the jet angle tends to increase gradually,and,then,it can be kept at a high point for a period of time,and then it tends to decline quickly. Experiments show that the initial velocity of the horizontal jet and the vertical jet prove to be 25 m / s and 20 m / s,respectively. The experimental results we have gained prove to be consistent with the theoretical value known as 26. 6m / s. The experimental results and the theoretical results of the horizontal release mass flowing rate prove to be 0. 059 8 kg / s and0. 068 4 kg / s,respectively. Thus,the experimental results and the theoretical results of the vertical leakage mass flow rate turn to be 0. 047 2 kg / s and 0. 059 6 kg / s,respectively. However,the experimental results show that the formulas of the leakage mass flowing rate and jet velocity recommended by this paper can be used to calculate the hole leakage of the liquefied 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane." @default.
