The quantitative analysis indicated that the CBI curriculum significantly improved students' performance in subject matter tests,and it produced positive impacts in many aspects of language know ledge and language skill tests,revealing its great potential in developing students' language competence. According to students ' performance in tests,the effect of implementing CBI curriculum w as positive,and it helped to achieve the objectives of the national curriculum more effectively than the conventional SOI( Skill-oriented Instruction) curriculum,revealing the feasibility of implementing CBI curriculum for English majors in the low er division of their uniersity study." @default.
