- W2369377190 abstract "Objective To study the effectiveness and safety of secondary implantation of intraocular lens(IOL) after lensectomy and pars plana vitrectomy.Methods The medical records of the patients with lensectomy and pars plana vitrectomy from July 2002 to January 2006 were retrospectively analyzed and followed-up.The secondary implantation of IOL was performed to 13 cases(13 eyes) with stable reattached retina and improved corrected visual acuity after having vitrectomy.The visual acuity was monitored after surgery.The occurrence and treatment of postoperative complication were analyzed.Results The preoperative best corrected visual acuities(Pre-BCVA) were 0.2～HM/30cm,and the postoperative best corrected visual acuities(PostBCVA) were 1.0～0.04.The visual acuities after surgery were all higher than that before surgery,and the predominance of the improvement was 53.85%.Corneal endothelium edema was observed in 2 eyes,anterior chamber effusion in 1 eye,and intraocular hypertension in 1 eye after surgery.All of them were cured after treatment.Conclusion Secondary implantation of IOL is a optional treatment for patients after lensectomy and pars plana vitrectomy,and the post-operative visual acuity is well predicted.Choosing patients with the right indication and skillful doctor are the keys to success." @default.
