- W2369482676 abstract "Objective To evaluate the clinical effect by using mucosolvan with nCPAP on extremely low birth weight (EL- BW) infants with respiratory failure.Methods 58 cases with respiratory failure were randomly divided into two groups:mucosolvan group(mucosolvan plus nCPAP,n = 30) and control group (nCPAP,n=28).Clinical effect,the change of oxygenation index and PaCO2 of the two groups were compared.Results①Successful rate and failure rate of two groups were 86.7% vs 78.6%,13.3% vs 21.4%,and there were no significant differences respectively(P＞0.05 ).Cure rate and mortality were significantly different in both groups(83.3% vs 42.9%,6.7% vs 25.0%,P＜0.05).②The time of nCPAP and hospitalization were shorter apparently in muco- solvan group than those in control group,there were significant differences(P＜0.05).③Before treatment and 12,24,36 hours after treatment,the data of the oxygenation index and PaCO_2 in the two groups were not significantly different (P＞0.05).There were signifi- cant differences in the indexes of oxygen exchange and PaCO_2 of two groups 48,60,72 hours after the treatment(P＜0.05).Conclu- sions The effect of mucosolvan with nCPAP are superior to nCPAP obviously for extremely low birth weight (ELBW) infants with re- spiratory failure.It is worth application widely." @default.
