- W2369678804 abstract "Objective To evaluate double dose contrast medium spiral CT cholangiography (SCTC) and 3D reconstruction technique in clinical applications.Materials and Methods SCTC was performed in 50 cases with suspected biliary or pancreatic diseases by intravenous infusion of 40ml 50% meglumine iodopamide and 60ml 50% glucose solution. Scanning began 60～120 minutes after infusion started. MIP and SSD reconstruction were done.Results The visualization rate of biliary system was 100% in patients with serum bilirubin level below 34.2 μmol/L and was 84% in patients with serum bilirubin level over 34.2 μmol/L or below 68.4 μmol/L. The total visualization rate was 86%. The third grade or more distal branches of the biliary tree were well visualized in 39 cases. The gallbladder was visualized in 24 cases (55%). 32 patients were positive and 7 cases were normal, the accuracy rate was 90%. Compared with clinical or pathological results, the diagnostic accuracy rate was 90%. No adverse reaction to meglumine iodipamide was seen in all 50 cases.Conclusion Double dose of meglumine iodipamide SCTC technique can well demonstrate biliary tree. This technique can be served as a noninvasive method for diagnosing cholangio pancreatic diseases in patients with serum bilirubin level below 68.4 μmol/L before hepatobiliary surgery." @default.
