- W2371718335 abstract "Objective: To investigate the relationship between traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) differentiation of symptoms and signs for coronary atherosclerotic heart disease (CAHD) and QT dispersion (QTd) as well as JT dispersion (JTd). Methods: One hundred and ten patients with the degree of coronary artery stenosis ≥50% in coronary angiography were divided into six types according to TCM differentiation of symptoms and signs. They were stagnation of cardiac bloodd(心血瘀阻型) , the stagnation of phlegm in the interior , r(痰浊内阻型)cold stagnation caused by excessive Yin(阴寒凝滞型), impairment of the Yang principle , Yin (阳气虚衰型)deficiencies of heart and kidney(心肾阴虚型), and deficiency of both Qi and Yin, (气阴两虚型)and their QTd, JTd, corrected QTd (QTcd), and corrected JTd (JTcd) were examined. The results were compared between the patients of inclination to excess(偏实) and inclination to deficiency (偏虚)types. Results: QTd, JTd, QTcd, and JTcd were higher in patients with inclination to excess type compared to the patients with inclination to deficiency type (all P0.01). In the patients of inclination to excess, QTd, JTd, QTcd, and JTcd were higher in patients with stagnation of cardiac blood type than that in the patients of the stagnation of phlegm in the interior and cold stagnation caused by excessive Yin types (all P0.05). In the patients of inclination to deficiency type, QTd, JTd, QTcd, and JTcd in patients of impairment of the Yang principle type were higher than those in the patients of Yin deficiencies of heart and kidney and deficiency of both Qi and Yin types (all P0.05). Among the six types, QTd, JTd, QTcd, and JTcd were the highest in the patients of stagnation of cardiac blood type (P0.05 or P0.01). Conclusion: According to TCM differentiation of symptoms and signs, QTd, JTd, QTcd, and JTcd are higher in patients with inclination to excess than that in patients with inclination to deficiency, indicating that in the patients of inclination to excess type the myocardial injury was more severe and likely to cause serious arrhythmia than in the patients of inclination to deficiency. QTd, JTd, QTcd, and JTcd were the highest in the patients of stagnation of cardiac blood type, showing that this type of patients is the most severe and likely to cause serious arrhythmia, and they are the highrisk population." @default.
