- W2371896915 abstract "Objective To summarize the clinical features of cavernous transformation of primary portal vein.Method The clinical data of primary cavernous transformation of the portal vein was described in one case and the literatures were reviewed.Results The patients was male,21 years old,and had spleen resection and portaazygous devascularization 4 years ago for splenomegaly and portal hypertension.And he was admission for hematemesis 1 day before.Gastroscopy showed severe varicose veins of the esophagus and portal hypertension.Enhanced abdominal CT showed portal hypertension and intrahepatic bile duct dilatation.ALT,ALP,albumin,serum lipids,serum amylase,electrolytes,the coagulation time and tumor markers were normal.The hepatitis b antibodies and hepatitis c antibody were negative.Admission diagnosis was hemorrhage of upper digestive tract,rupture of the severe esophageal-gastric vein varicose and primary cavernous transformation of the portal vein with the superior mesenteric vein and portal vein thrombosis.He improved through conservative treatment and discharged.Conclusions Primary cavernous transformation of the portal vein is rare in clinic and has complex etiology.Differential diagnosis should be paid attention to Budd-Chiari syndrome,cirrhosis portal hypertension and segmental portal hypertension.Individualized treatment should be taken into consideration according to different causes." @default.
