- W2372877251 abstract "Objective To demonstrate whether the metacercaria of Clonorchis sinensis has the biological effect of asexual reproduction.Methods Ten negative Topmouth Gudgeon captured in non-endemic area were selected as the experimental fishes;Clonorchis cercariae were supplied by the Department of Parasitology of Sun Yat-sen University.All the fishes were divided into group A and B for quantitative cercariae infection,and the interval time of the two experiments was 30 days.In Group A,30 fishes were put into a fishbowl with the volume of 50 cm×30 cm×40 cm,and 282 cercariae were put into it to infect the fishes within 11 days.In Group B,34 fishes were put into the glasses containing 300 ml water separately,and 30 cercariae were put into each glass to infect the fishes.The fishes infected were raised on balcony for experiment.Direct compression tablets and crush washed precipitated methods were used at the same time to check metacercariae.Results Twenty nine fishes were infected with 1 lost in group A,the infection rate was 100.00%.Totally 587 metacercariae were detected,which was 2.08 times higher than the 282 cercariae.In group B,3 fishes were lost,and the infection rate among the remaining 31 fishes was 77.42%.Totally 1024 metacercariae were detected,and in 1 fishes,986 metacercariae were detected,which was 32.27 times higher than others.The G values of the metacercaria numbers in Group A and B were 5.84 and 2.53 respectively.The difference on the infection rate and degree had statistical significance(P0.01、0.05).There are two ways to explore asexual reproduction: inner matacercaria reproduction and external matacercaria reproduction;asexual seeds come from the biological active free particles in the matacercariae.Conclusion It is evident that Clonorchis sinensis has a second asexual reproduction process in second intermediate host-Topmouth Gudgeon,metacercaria has biological effect of asexual reproduction." @default.
