- W2373005488 abstract "Objective To explore the expression of the cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitors p21Cip1 during hippocampal development in rats.Methods Twenty healthy Wistar rats were randomly grouped into 5 groups according to their ages:postnatal day 1 group(P1),postnatal day 11 group(P11),adult group(5～6 months old)and senior group(13 months).The rats'hippocampi were harvested to make cells suspensions.Immunofluorescence and flow cytometry(FCM)were performed to detect and quantify p21Cip1 in astrocytes and neurons.Results(1)The expression of p21Cip1 could be detected in the hippocampus of the rats with different ages.(2)The expression patterns of p21Cip1 were similar in neurons and astrocytes,which peaked in P1;However,after P1,the expression of p21Cip1 increased with ages from P11 to senior group(P0.05).Conclusion The expression of p21Cip1 in hippocampal neurons and astrocytes changes with the age,which indicates it may play a role in the rats'hippocampal development." @default.
