- W2373037108 abstract "Effects of three heavy metal ions(Cd2+,Hg2+ and Zn2+) on the superoxide dismutase(SOD) activity of the viscera of juvenile sea cucumber(Apostichopus japonicus) were determined through outside body chronic toxicity experimentation.The results showed that the SOD activity changed markedly with prolonged exposure of these ions.Hg2+(0.009～0.046 mg/L) induced the SOD activity at 24 and 48 hours,reaching the maximum at 96 hours,and then decreased the SOD activity at 144 hours.Effects of Zn2+(0.195～0.976 mg/L) on the SOD activities were induced at 48 hours,and decreased at 96 and 144 hours.Effects of Hg2+and Zn2+ on the SOD activity were first induced and then inhibited during prolonging the exposure time.Effects of Cd2+(0.214～1.069 mg/L) on the SOD activities were inhibited at 48 hours,induced at 96 and 144 hours.These results provide a basis for further research on the effects of heavy metal toxicity on antioxidant enzyme system of Apostichopus japonicus." @default.
