- W2373569093 abstract "Objective:Determine the reference range of glycated albumin(GA) in biochemistry laboratory of our hospital.Study the relationship between sex and age of glycated albumin in non-diabetic population.Methods:Samples taken from the people came to our hospital to see the doctor or take a physical examination,January 6～ May 2,2010.3 628 eligible persons with non-diabetic population was selected,detect their GA value,and record the age,sex and other basic information of subjects.Determine the reference range with bilateral 95% confidence interval of normal distribution law,and study the relationship between sex and age of glycated albumin.Results:The reference range of 3 628 non-diabetic population is 9.17%～18.60%.Mean glycated albumin in male average was 13.70%,female 13.74%,with no significant difference in statistic(t=-0.64,P0.05).Mean glycated albumin in different age groups were:Child group 12.18%,Junior group 13.08%,Youth group 12.97%,Middle-aged group 13.84%,Elderly group14.51%.Except the Junior group and Youth group difference has no statistically significant,differences between other groups were significant(P0.01).Conclusion:Reference range of glycated albumin in the biochemistry laboratory of our hospital is 9.17%～18.60%.Glycated albumin were unrelated to sex,but its value increasing with age,so proposal to set different ages laboratory reference range." @default.
