- W2373773947 abstract "Objective To explore the risk factors of acute organophosphorus pesticide poisoning(AOPP). Method The patients with acute organophosphorus pesticide poisoning,admitted from September 2004 to August 2005,were retrospectively analyzed.The 87 patients were divided into groups according to the presence or absence of combined conditions including hypotension,hypoxemia or metabolic acidosis.Acute physiology and chronic health evaluationⅡ(APACHEⅡ)score was calculated.The chi-square test was used to examine the mortality between those groups.Results The total in-hospital mortality of 87 acute organophosphorus pesticide poisoning patients was 21.8%.The mean APACHEⅡscore was(7.58±5.32)in the 68 survivors and(21.17～9.46)in the 19 dead,there were significant differences between the survivors and the dead(t=9.25,P0.05).The in-hospital mortality of patients with APACHEⅡscore20 was 65.2%(15/23),andit was 6.3% (4/64)in patients with APACHEII score20,there were significant differencesbetween those groups(RR= 10.4,95% CI=4.8～22.8,x~2=34.5,P0.01).The in-hospital mortalityi of patients complicated with hypotension was 34.3%(12/35),and it was 13.5%(7/52)in patients without hypotension,there were significant differences between those groups(RR=2.55,95% CI=1.2～5.6,x~2=5.31,P0.05).The in- hospital mortality of patients complicated with hypexemiawas 37.5%(9/24),and it was 15.9%(10/63)in patients without hypoxemia,there were significantdifferences between those groups(RR=2.36,95% CI=1.1～5.1,x~2=4.76,P0.05).The in-hospitalmortality of patients complicated with metabolic acidosis was 31.7%(13/41),and it was 13.0%(6/46)in patients without metabolic acidosis,there were significant differences between those groups(RR=2.43,95% CI=1.1～5.6,x~2=4.42,P0.05),and the mortality was increasing along with the pH was decreasing(Pearson=0.37,x~2=6.65,P0.05).Conclusions Hypotension,hypoxemia,metabolic acidosis and APACHEⅡscore may be the risk factors of AOPP." @default.
