- W2373803432 abstract "The effects of different fertilizer concentration on hydrochemistry, phytoplankton community succession, chlorophyll a concentration and primary productivity were studied, from April to June 2002 in Photosynthesis Fisheries Co.LTD.,Panjin,Northeast Liaoning Province.Six typical ponds numbered 1~(#)-5~(#) and 101~(#)(control pond) were selected, and the water was from the Liaohe River and the Bohai Sea.The species composition, density, biomass of phytoplankton and the alternative of dominant species were measured. The results showed that 33 species of phytoplankton and 9 species of zooplankton were identified;the phytoplankton biomass peaked at 288.2 mg·L~(-1) with Chlorella pyrenoidesa being the dominant phytoplankton species.Salinity ranged between 20.1 and 24.1.pH varied from 8.14 to 9.91 dramatically, while DO level was 7.82?mg·L~(-1) in average with little oscillation.Water type was Chloride water type.COD level prominently increased with rise of phytoplankton biomass.Nutrition concentration showed periodicity changes.Chlorophyll a concentration averaged 5.89-325.44?μg·L~(-1),making up 0.1%-0.27% of the phytoplankton biomass(wet weight). It reached peak 5-6 days after fertilization, and went back 8-9 days after. The primary productivity was 4.40 g(O_(2))·m~(-2)·d~(-1)in average.Phytoplankton community succession was significantly affected by the treatment of fertilizer, especially by the combination of different chemical fertilizers. The phytoplankton biomass reached peak 8-9 days after fertilization.Primary productivity and chlorophyll a concentration, noticeably relative to phytoplankton biomass, were greatly higher in composted and N-fertilized ponds than that in P-fertilized and control ponds.Fertilizer concentration mainly affected the number and composition of phytoplankton species, and the phytoplankton biomass as well. The pond fertilized with N at 2.0 mg·L~(-1) and P at 0.3 mg·L~(-1) remained the longest in terms of the phytoplankton biomass.Chlorella could be induced with the treatment of chemical fertilizer." @default.
