- W2374260203 abstract "Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of posterior decompression,reduction and internal fixation with pedicle screw system and trans-pedicle bone grafting for treatment of thoracolumbar fracture.Methods 47 cases of thoracotumbar fracture were treated by posterior decompression,reduction and internal fixation with pedicle screw,and the radiograph,neuropathic function and back pain symptom were analized pre-operatively,post-opertively and in the final following-up.The evaluation criteria included: the anterior marginal height of the injuried vertebrae,the Cobb′s angle and the neuropathic function Frankel scale.Results All cases were followed up for 6～38(10±2) months.During follow-up,the kyphosis thoracolumbar regained a good aligment,neuropathic function was improved and back pain was relieved obviously.Internal fixation hardware failure,the lose of the front marginal height of the fracture vertebrae and the Cobb′s angle were not observed obviously and fractures were healed in all patients.Conclusions For the treatment of thoraco-lumbar fractures,the method of posterior decompression,reduction and fixation with pedicle screw system and trans-pedicle bone grafting could obtain thoroughly decompression of vertebrae canal,better kyphosis correction and maintained the correction effect,and also reduced the incidence of internal fixation hardware failure.It is simple,safe and effective and worth of clinical application." @default.
