- W2374437108 abstract "Information exchanging plays an important role in people's daily life, in their social organization and in management science. People can produce and have a social life through exchanging information. Therefore interpersonal relationship and communication are of great significance in Human Resources Management(HRM). At present, there are many studies about HRM and the information theory, but seldom are there books combining the two. The authors of this article think that not only the human resources theory but also its practice have much to do with the interpersonal information communication and this idea is discussed in the historical description of developing management. Beginning with the classical management theories, they analyze the contents, the methods and the channels for transmitting interpersonal information in yesterday's enterprises. It is pointed out that Human Hierarchy of Needs, Incentive Hygienical Factor Theory of McGregor and Herzberg's theory X and theory Y exerted a considerable impact on the formation of information theory of Human Resources Management from 1930s to 1960s. It is expounded what Likert, the representative of the colonial behavioral theory, contributed to the information theory of HRM. How these theories influenced the information theory of HRM in its contents, its transmission channels and its transmission media is analyzed. It is pointed out that the level of HRM depends on the interpersonal information communication. The combination of the information theory with the HRM would be an innovation for the HRM theory." @default.
