- W2374479855 abstract "OBJECTIVE To analyze the risk factors and preventive strategies for the infections after the cesarean section.METHODS A total of 31 maternal mothers with infections who underwent the cesarean section from Jan 2009 to Apr 2012 were selected as the study objects. The operation duration, hospital stay, length of labor, complication of underlying diseases, frequency of invasive examination, premature rupture of membranes, and prophylactic use of antibiotics were taken for statistical analysis.RESULTS The infection rate of 31 patients with the operation duration more than 1 hour was 80.65%,the difference was statistically significant as compared with the infection rate of the patients with the operation duration less than 1 hour(P0.001);the infection rate of the patients with the hospitalization duration more than 7 days(67.44%) was higher than that of the patients with less than 7 days(32.26%)(P0.01);the infection rate of the patients with the lengthen of labor more than 12 hours(70.97%) was significantly higher than that of the patients with less than 12 hours(29.03%)(P0.001);the infection rates of the patients complicated with underlying disease was 77.42%,signifcnatly higher than that of the patients without underlying diseases(P0.001);the infection rate of the patients with the frequency of invasive examination more than 3 times was relatively high(74.19%)(P0.001);the infection rate of the patients with the premature rupture of membrane(74.19%) was higher than that of the patients without premature rupture of membrane(P0.001);the infection rate of the patients with prophylactic antibiotics was relatively low(19.35%).CONCLUSION The incidence of the infections after cesarean section is related to the operation duration, hospitalization duration, length of labor, underlying diseases, invasive examination, premature rupture of membranes, and prophylactic antibiotics, thus it is necessary to adopt corresponding measures to prevent the postoperative infections." @default.
