- W2374560319 abstract "Objective To evaluate the efficacy of Helicobacter pylori(Hp) eradication in treatment of chronic gastritis.Methods 92 patients with Hp-related chronic gastritis proven by gastrointestinal endoscopes,pathology and Hp detection were allocated to Group A and Group B;and 57 patients with non-Hp related chronic gastritis were enrolled in the negative control group(Group C).Each group received the same basic treatment,besides this,group A received normal triple therapy for anti-HP.In each group,the signs and symptoms and the outcomes of gastrointestinal endoscopes and the mucosal inflammation degree and inflammation activity before and 4 weeks,12～18 months after treatment were observed.Results Before treatment,the inflammation degree and activity changes in group A were worse than those in group C(all P0.01) and were similar to those in group B(P0.05).4 weeks after treatment,the inflammation degree and activity changes in group A were less than those in group B(P0.01 or 0.05);and in comparison to those before treatment,the inflammation degree in group A lessened more significantly(P0.01),but in group B,there was no statistically significant difference(P0.05).The follow-up of 12～18 months indicated that in group A,35 cases(35/41) were with successive negative-Hp,the inflammation was controlled permanently,cases with moderate-severe inflammation and inflammation activity were less than those in group B(all P0.01);and in group B,the inflammation recovered to the levels before treatment quickly(P0.05),so there were more cases with moderate-severe inflammation and activity(P0.05 or 0.01).The recurrence rate in group A were less than those in group B and C(all P0.01),respectively.Conclusion Hp eradication in treatment of Hp-related gastritis plays an important role in clinical treatment,so it should be recommended as a routine therapy." @default.
