- W2374927686 abstract "Objective To explore the experimental method and technique of making experimental allergic encephalomyelitis model in SD rat.Methods The animal model was established in SD rat by injecting spinal cord homogenate in Freud's complete adjuvant and bordetella pertussis vaccine.Different rats were used to establish animal models with different methods such as homologous or heterologous homogenate,one or multiple injections.Its clinical symptoms and histological alteration were observed and compared.Results The animal model by injecting homologous homogenate twice in female SD rat was better than other,whose duration of paralysis was 16～20 days and 10～14 days,and the incidence was 85%,the incidence of relapse was 46.67%,and the fatality rate was 5.88%.Many demyelinated lesions were found in the brain and spinal cord in animal like human with multiple sclerosis.Conclusion The animal model of experimental allergic encephalomyelitis induced by injecting homologous homogenate twice in female SD rat bears a resemblance to the features of multiple sclerosis,and might be a better model for the study on multiple sclerosis." @default.
