• W2374941358 abstract "Objective: To analyze the clinical characteristics of psycho-counseling employed clients in FOXCONN Shenzhen Longhua factory during the Cluster suicidal crisis in 2010.Methods: A cross-sectional study and cluster sampling method were conducted in 354 clients who asked help of crisis intervention team from May 18th to July 31st 2010.The diagnosis was made according to the Chinese Classification of Mental Disorders,Third Edition(CCMD-3) and the criteria of psychological problem.The clients' demographic data,diagnosis,crisis state,psychological problems related to the cluster suicidal crisis and treatment categories were collected.The Social Support Scale(SSRS),Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire(SCSQ),Symptom Check List(SCL-90) and Impact of Event Scale-Revised(IES-R) were used to test the clients.They were divided into new employee group(≤6 months,103 cases) and old employee group(6 months,110 cases) according to working time.According to SAD PERSONS scores,the clients were divided into low risk group(0-4 scores,104 cases) and high risk group(5-10,108 cases).Results: In this sample,the top two main diagnosis categories were mood disorder(118 cases,33.3%) and psychological problem(107 cases,30.2%).New employee group had significantly more clients of stress related disorders and psychological problems related to the cluster suicidal crisis,while old employee group had significantly more clients of mood disorder(Ps0.05).Old employee group had obvious higher total score in SCL-90 and all factor scores except personal relationship factor,and total score and intrusion factor score of IES-R were higher as well(Ps0.05).Compared to the low suicidal risk group,the high risk group had obviously more males and single clients(Ps0.05),and lower total score and all factor scores in SSRS,lower positive coping factor of SCSQ,higher total scores and all factor scores of SCL-90 and IES-R.The high risk group had higher screening rate of PTSD in IES-R(Ps0.05).Multiple linear stepwise regression analysis showed that predictors of suicide risk were higher score of depression factor in SCL-90(β=0.50),male(β=-0.26),single in marital state(β=-0.27),lower total score of SSRS(β=-0.21),higher total score of SCL-90(β=0.42),higher intrusion factor score(β=0.22) and higher total score(β=0.51) of IES-R(Ps0.05).Conclusion: It suggests that psychological aid requires double experts who are equipped with psychiatric and psychological counseling knowledge including crisis intervention.Psychological aid for the new and old employees needs to be emphasis on different areas.Improving mental health level especially decreasing depression level,strengthening social support and avoiding suicidal events properly might be important to reduce suicidal risk during cluster suicidal crisis." @default.
