To construct and develop a competent IT department is therefore the basic and key issue. Firstly, its construction should put its faculty first and enhance policy establishment. Secondly, it should concentrate on key technologies and theories by outsourcing the IT service of low levels; meanwhile, the science research on combination of the medical science and IT should be reinforced, which in turn promotes the faculty's capability of IT. In general, the IT department should focus on both the information management of hospital and the science research, and become the center of engineering oriented medicine research, providing creative ideas and solutions supported by IT and grounded on engineering." @default.
