- W2375414573 abstract "【Objective】Optimizing the distribution of dry matter between vegetative sinks and generative sinks is the key strategy for high yield production in the greenhouse tomato.【Method】The effects of synchronous leaf pruning on production and distribution of dry matter in greenhouse tomato cultivar ‘Capita’ was investigated by both a TOMSIM simulation and a greenhouse experiment.【Result】The values between the simulation study and the greenhouse experiment were fitting.In comparison to the control,the average in leaf pruning LAI from the simulation study and the greenhouse experiment was significantly reduced from 2.9 to 1.9 and 2.4.Total plant dry weight per square meter was significantly decreased by 12.2% and 10.5%.The cumulative fraction of dry matter allocated to the fruits significantly improved from 57.1% and 56.6% to 61.5% and 60.7%.Fruit dry weight per square meter was decreased only marginally by 5.9% and 4.2%,respectively.In leaf pruning and increased plant density,the average LAI significantly improved to 2.9 and 3.6.Total plant dry weight per square meter increased by 4.0% and 15.2%.The cumulative fraction of dry matter allocated to the fruits was 61.1% and 57.9%.Therefore,fruit dry weight per square meter significantly increased by 9.9% and16.9%,respectively.【Conclusion】It concluded that in one scenario with synchronous leaf pruning in the greenhouse tomato,LAI and total plant dry weight per square meter significantly decreased;On the other hand,the cumulative fraction of dry matter allocated to the fruits significantly improved.LAI increased with increased plant density,however,plant density has no significant influence on the cumulative fraction of dry matter allocated to the fruits.Fruit dry weight per square meter significantly improved in leaf pruning and increased plant density." @default.
