- W2375465703 abstract "This experiment was conducted to study the effects of pantothenic acid on growth performance, slaughter performance, meat quality, nutrient availability and serum biochemical parameters of Wulong geese aged from 5 to 16 weeks, and to find the appropriate supplemental level of pantothenic acid. A total of 360five-week-old Wulong geese were randomly divided into 6 groups with 6 replicates per group and 10 geese( half male and half female) per replicate. Geese in the group Ⅰ( control group) were fed a basal diet, and geese in groups Ⅱ to Ⅵ( experimental groups) were fed the basal diet supplemented with 5,10,20,40,80 mg / kg pantothenic acid, respectively. The experiment lasted for 12 weeks. The results showed as follows:1) using unrelated comparative analysis method, when the dietary pantothenic acid level was 21. 17 mg / kg,the average daily gain reached the highest; when the dietary pantothenic acid level was 18.50 mg / kg,the feed to gain reached the lowest. 2) The dressed percentage in groups Ⅲ and Ⅳ was significantly higher than that in group Ⅰ( P 0. 01),but the percentage of abdominal fat was significantly lower than that in group Ⅰ( P 0.05). 3) The lightness( L*) and red( a*) values in group Ⅳ was significantly higher than that in group Ⅰ( P0.05),but the shear force and drip loss were significantly lower than those in group Ⅰ( P0.05 or P0.01). 4) The availability of crude protein, ether extract, calcium, phosphorus, nitrogen and deposit nitrogen in group Ⅳ were significantly higher than those in group Ⅰ( P 0.05 or P 0.01),but the nitrogen excretion from excrement was significantly lower than that in group Ⅰ( P 0.01). 5) The contents of uric acid, urea nitrogen and total cholesterol in group Ⅳ were significantly lower than those in group Ⅰ( P 0.01). In conclusion, dietary pantothenic acid at appropriate supplemental level can promote growth performance, slaughter performance, meat quality and nutrient availability of Wulong geese, reduce percentage of abdominal fat and the content of uric acid, urea nitrogen, total cholesterol. The optimal supplemental level of pantothenic acid of W ulong geese aged from 5 to 16 weeks is 18. 50 to 20. 00 mg / kg." @default.
