- W2375735204 abstract "Objective To investigate the influence of intravenous infusion with hydroxyethyl starch 130/0.4 on cytokines in patients after cardiopulmonary bypass.Methods Forty postoperative patients with scheduled valve(s) replacement(s) were randomly divided into HES(H) group and Plasma(P) group,(20 in each group);When they returned into ICU,Group H was administered with 10～20ml.kg-1.d-1 of 6% hydroxyethyl starch 130/0.4(Voluven) at the rate of 5～10 ml.kg-1.h-1 through central vein,and group P was administered with isovolumic fresh frozen plasma at the same rate.Arterial blood samples were collected at the time of arrival at ICU(T1),1hour after administration of colloids(T2),20h(T3) and 40h(T4) after the CPB for determination of plasma TNF-α,IL-6,IL-10 concentrations.Results The concentrations of the three cytokines at T1 had no significant difference between two groups,but the concentrations of the three cytokines in group H were all significantly lower than that in group P at T3(P0.01).The concentrations of IL-6 and IL-10 increased significantly at T3 in group P compared with T1(P0.05),though there was no significance of TNF-α;Additionally the value of TNF-α was further increased at T4(P0.05).On contrary,concentrations of the three cytokines were all decreased significantly in group H at T3 when compared with T1(P0.05),but at T4 TNF-α increased significantly again.Conclusion Infusion of 6% HES 130/0.4 for volume therapy in patients after cardiopulmonary bypass can reduce the increase of some cytokines,and could inhibit the inflammatory reaction induced by CPB." @default.
