- W2375746870 abstract "The study is based on a questionnaire specially designed for 33 in-service College English teachers in China. The survey information, which is divided into two parts and will be respectively illustrated in two different papers,includes the following aspects: teachers' believes vs. their practical classroom teaching behavior and their cognition on Computer-and Classroom-based Multimedia College English Teaching Model vs. their practical classroom teaching behavior. This paper mainly focuses on the former. The data shows that teachers' believes are not consistent with their practical classroom teaching behavior; nor have they been implemented in their teaching practice. After analyzing the causes, the authors find that the teacher issue is actually the key for the success of the current college English teaching reform and an urgent training is needed for the College English teachers; thus, in the following paper some relevant suggestions will be put forward in terms of teacher training and teacher education for the better implementation of the College English teaching reform in China." @default.
