• W2376415900 abstract "Objective To explore the distribution and impact factors of BMI among left-behind farmers( LBFs) in western Anhui,and to provide evidence for related prevention work. Methods Random cluster sampling methods were adopted to carry out this study among LBFs aged 40-70 from 18 counties in these three districts. The field investigations contained both computerized questionnaire including demographic data and living habits and physical examination including blood pressure,blood glucose,height and weight. Results A total of 4 040 residents were investigated and 3 700 farmers were measured for height and weight. 4 040 LBFs were included of 1 301 males and 2 399 females,male and female ratio was 1 ∶ 1. 84. There were 60. 26% of overweight and obesity in LBFs of Anhui village,including by 43. 46% of overweight and 16. 81% of obesity. Ordinal Logistic regression analysis revealed that BMI was related with age,blood glucose,blood pressure,and drinking. Compared with LBFs aged 60 to 70 years,the residents aged 40-49 and 50-59 had higher BMI and the OR value and 95% confidence interval( CI) of these two groups was 1. 75( 1. 48-2. 08) and 1. 38( 1. 17-1. 62),respectively. Compared with LBFs with grade 2-3 hypertension,the OR value and 95% CI was 0. 28( 0. 24-0. 34) among LBFs with normal blood pressure; and 0. 68( 0. 58-0. 80),with grade 1 hypertension. Compared LBFs with FBG below5. 6 mmol / L,OR value and 95% CI was 0. 40( 0. 32-0. 51) among LBFs with FBG from 5. 6 to 6. 9 mmol / L; and 0. 55( 0. 44-0. 70),with FBG 7. 0 mmol/L or above. Compared with non-drinkers,the OR value and 95% CI was 1. 20( 0. 97-1. 48) among alcohol drinkers. Conclusions The proportion of overweight and obesity is relatively high in rural left behind famers in Anhui. Measures should be taken to control left-behind residents' weight." @default.
