- W2376543452 abstract "Objective To investigate the expression of midkine(MK)in cervical cancer tissue and its relationship with clinicopathologic feature of cervical cancer.Methods From January 2004 to March 2007,141 samples were selected from department of Pathology,West China Second University Hospital, Sichuan University,including 96 cases of cervical cancer(the cervical cancer group),15 cases of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia gradeⅠ(the CINⅠgroup),15 cases of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia gradeⅡ～Ⅲ(the CINⅡ～Ⅲgroup),15 cases of chronic cervicitis(the control group).The expression and locaiization of midkine were determined by immunohistochemistry.The results for midkine immunostaining were subjected to double-blind method scoring,which is analyzed by Chi-square test(two tailed,P0.05).Results①The positive expression rates of midkine in the group of chronic cervicitis, CINⅠ,CINⅡ～Ⅲand cervical cancer were 6.67%,13.3%,40.0% and 65.6%,respectively.Midkine expressed higher with the deterioration of cervical lesion(P0.05).②In the group of cervical cancer, the expression of midkine became higher with the process of clinical stage.And its expression was higher in tumors with big size(≥4 cm)(P0.05).Conclusion Expression level of midkine was related to pathological status of cervix.With the process of cervical cancer,midkine expression became stronger, which suggested midkine may participate in the development of cervical cancer." @default.
