- W2376746223 abstract "This study investigates development mechanisms of Nanjing suburban area,and identifies three major driving forces underlying the rapid development of the area.These driving forces include suburban area-oriented new development strategy,mega-projects,and jurisdiction adjustment.Currently,the rapidly growing Nanjing suburban area is also facing many serious problems,such as unsustainable land use,problems of urban villages,lacks of infrastructure and services,and green belt erosion.The dual track urban-rural system and entrepreneur behaviors of local governments in Nanjing suburban area are major causes of these problems.To overcome these problems,some suggestions are proposed.These suggestions include institution innovation,clear demarcation of suburban area,efficient guidance for real estate and university towns' development in the suburban area,and enhancement of migrant administration and enabling urban villages." @default.
