- W2377555504 abstract "Cotton aphid (Aphis gossypi Glover) is the major pest on cotton in Gansu Province. In 1995￣1996, the demage and economic threshold of the summer ecotype cotton aphid in middle yield cotton field were studied in Anxi County and Dunhuang County. The results showed that the cotton plant height, boll number and the weight boll were decreased by the heavy injury of summer ecotype aphids, while the shedding rate of squares and bolls increased. The equations expressing the relationship between three-leaf aphid number (X) and cotton yield loss (Y) were proposed as follows: Dunhuang Y= 30.5614+20.7014lgx±1.6782(r=0.990). Anxi: Y= 22.3813+15.4037lgx±0.5996(r=0.996). The economic threshold of the summer ecotype aphids was determined as 50 aphids/three leaves/plant." @default.
