- W2377604654 abstract "Objective The purpose of this study was to evaluate the clinical application of TCD in type twodiabetic cases complicated with cerebral vascular pathological changes.Methods the patients in diabetic group include 45 cases with without intercurrent disease,53 cases with microangiopathy,44 cases cerebral infarct; 50 healthy volunteers as conctrol.The cerebral blood flow and Gosling pulsate index(PI) were measured by TCD apparatus and the patients were kept 60 months forward looking follow-up and the self regulation of cerebral artery were sequentially monitored.Results The results showed that the systolic peak velocity (Vs) and pulsate index (PI) in diabetic groups has significant difference compared with that in control (P0.05～0.001), the PI were increased significantly in patients with microangiopathy.The self regulation was out of balance that the artery has extensive cerebral spasm; during follow-up, there were 17 cases got unlethiferous cerebral infarct, 1 case got unlethiferous cerebral bleed, 3 cases got TIA; the incidence rate of cerebral vessels incident was higher in patients with abnormal encephalic blood flow compared with that with normal encephalic blood flow (P0.05).Conclusion TCD is a non-invasive and repeatable examination and is of great value and objective in diagnosing and evaluating the therapeutic efficacy and prognosis in diabetic patients complicated with cerebral vascular disease." @default.
