- W2377887554 abstract "Objective To study the value of diagnosing of testicular necrosis by high frequency color Doppler ultrasound.Methods The ultrasonic appearances in 17 cases of testicular necrosis were retrospectively analyzed.Aloka 650/1200/5500 and Acuson 128XP/10 ultrasound scanner with 5～10 MHz transducer were used.Eleven patients underwent surgery.The conservative treatment and follow up ultrasound were performed in other cases.Results Of the 17 cases with testicular necrosis,11 cases were entire necrosis of testis,6 cases were focal necrosis.Testicular necrosis was caused by spermatic cord torsion in 8 of 17 cases,by trauma in 6 cases and by acute epididymitis in 3 cases.The bracelet ring sign and the inlay sign were the particular sonographic appearance of testicular necrosis caused by spermatic cord torsion.In indicated the likelihood of the focal testicular necrosis that an intratesticular mass with a hypoecho,naught blood flow pattern as well as heterogeneity and enlargement of the epididymis.Conclusions High frequency color Doppler ultrasound is capable of assessing on the occurrenced and the progress of testicular necrosis." @default.
