- W2377914812 abstract "Peripheral mononuclear cells from eight serum anti HBs positive healthy adults and 12 chronic hepatitis B patients were stimulated with three types of hepatitis surface antigen (HBsAg) respectively,namely:yeast derived recombinant HBsAg,synthetic peptide of the 120～147 residue of the S antigen and HBsAg complexed to human anti HBs immunoglobuin (HBIG) After incubation with the stimulants,interferon gamma induced was assayed using ELISA kit Results showed that 14 out of the 20 individuals tested had higher level of interferon gamma than those in the controls The levels of interferon gamma produced under stimulation by either the recombinant HBsAg or the S peptide was similar, whereas only 7 individuals produced higher level of interferon gamma when stimulated with HBsAg anti HBIG complex Data indicate that recombinant HBsAg produced in yeast could be used in future assays for screening and prediction of favorable responses to treatment with therapeutic hepatitis B vaccines" @default.
