• W2377927114 abstract "The FeMo alloy and FeMoCaF2 high temperature selflubricating materials were prepared by compression molding at elevated temperature in a mediumfrequency inductive stove. The hardness and mechanical strengths of the two kinds of materials were measured. Their friction and wear behaviors at ambientand hightemperaturesliding against 40Cr counterpart were evaluated on a () hightemperature friction and wear tester, in a pinondisc contact configuration. The friction and wear mechanism of two kinds of materials were discussed based on observation and analysis of their microstructures and worn surface morphologies and phase compositions by means of scanning electron microscopy and Xray diffraction. Results showed that a black glaze layer was generated on the worn surfaces of the FeMo samples of various Mo contents, which accounted for the frictionreducing and antiwear ability of the FeMo alloy at elevated temperature. While the FeMoCaF2 high temperature selflubricating material had good selflubricating ability and wearresistance above 500 ℃, it led to a small wear rate of the counterpart steel at elevated temperature as well. This was attributed to the formation of a lubricating film composed of CaF2, MoO2, CaMoO4, Fe2O3, and FeMo4F6 on the worn surface of the FeMoCaF2." @default.
