- W2378020175 abstract "Fiber reinforced composites were prepared by twin-screw extruder with short PEN fiber and PTT resin,and their rheology and mechanical properties were investigated respectively.Influences of composition of the blends,shearing stress,shearing rate and temperature on the rheological behavior and viscosity of the melt were discussed.Results shows that all of the composites are pseudo-plastic fluid.The melt viscosity of the composites increases gradually as PEN short fiber content is increased.Furthermore,increasing temperature decreases the viscosity of the composites′ melt.The investigation of the mechanical properties suggested that the tensile strength,rupture strength and flexibility modulus are all increased much with increasing PEN fiber,while impact strength keeps nearly constant,which indicating an obvious improving of the strength of PTT with addition of the PEN short fiber but without reducing the tenacity of the composites." @default.
