- W2378637124 abstract "Selective chemical extraction-adsorption-additivity model was employed to analyze thermodynamic characteristics of Cu and Zn on the clay and its main components(Fe/Mn oxides,organic materials and clay minerals) in surficial sediments.The results show that the adsorption ability of clay towards Cu and Zn is much stronger than those of surficial sediments,and the most contribution was attributed to Fe oxides in the clay for Cu and Zn adsorption,next to OMs,and with the least from clay minerals.The resulted information agrees well with the results obtained from Cu and Zn adsorption onto surficial sediments,indicating that the Fe oxides played an important role in controlling the environmental behavior of trace heavy metals in aquatic environments." @default.
