- W2378676985 abstract "Objective The study aims to the validity of asthma control test (ACT) questionnaire at the primary-care settings in elder asthma patients. Methods ACT questionnaire survey and pulmonary function tests were performed for 128 asthma patients at our primary-care settings, and their status of asthma control was assessed by the doctors for asthma based the criteria formulated. Results All the elder asthma patients completed the ACT, 482 times ACT and asthma control status were performed. ACT scores correlated with the results of doctors' rating for asthma patients,with a coefficient of correlation of 0.647 and Kappa values is 0.354 (P ＜0.05). There was a statistically significant difference in ACT scores between groups of patients with varied predicted ratios of forced expiratory volume at first second to forced vital capacity,doctors' ratings of asthma control and adjusted treatment regimens. Conclusions ACT questionnaire can be used at the primary-care settings to assess asthma control and also can be used in in elder asthma patients feasibly.Key words: Elder asthma; Asthma control test; Primary-care settings" @default.
