• W2378701302 abstract "ObjectiveTo investigate the antimicrobial resistance of Ureaplasma urealyticum(Uu) and Mycoplasma homonis(Mh) isolated from outpatients in our hospital from 2003 to 2004.MethodsThe test kit Mycoplasma IST 2 of BioMerieux was used for identification,and susceptibility testing of Uu and Mh isolates.ResultsUu,Mh and Uu+Mh co-infection were identified from 44.8%(284/634),0.6%(4/634) and 9.5%(60/634) of 634 clinical specimens,respectively.The Uu isolates were least resistant to josamycin(0.4%),but highly resistant to ofloxacin(31.7%) and ciprofloxacin(61.3%).The prevalence of Mycoplasma infection was similar between year 2003 and 2004.It was 57.4%(112/195) and 53.8%(236/439) respectively.Uu+Mh co-infection slightly increased from 10.7%(12/112) in 2003 to 20.3%(48/236) in 2004.ConclusionsUu is one of the key pathogens causing infections in women.The resistance of Mycoplasma is serious.Antimicrobial therapy should be rationally used in order to delay the emergence of resistant strain." @default.
