- W2379549384 abstract "Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of interferon-α in the treatment of children with varicella and to Explore the effective treatment.Methods A multi-centra,randomized and controlled trial was conducted in 68 childrens aged from 1 to 9 years,had mild to moderate diarrhea of less than 48 houres duration.Totally children with varicella were divided into two groups randomly.There were 34 cases in the control group,the patients intramuscular injection Ribavirin.There were 34 cases in the treatment group,the patients intramuscular injection Interferon-α.The total therapeutic course were 3～5 days.Comparative analysis for two groups.Results The dominant effective rate was 61.8% in the treatment group,the antipyretic time was(1.76±1.23 d);The control group was 47.1% and(2.46±1.65)d.There was a significant difference between two group(P0.01).Conclusion Interferon-α can shorten the antipyretic time and improve clinical symptoms and enhance the effectiveness of children with varicella,it is a effective and safety drug for the treatment of children with varicella." @default.
