- W2379780194 abstract "OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the efficacy and side effects of Amfebutamone for depression. METHODS:In this randomized control study,a total of 81 depressive patients who met CCMD-3 criterion for depression were randomly assigned to trial group receiving Amfebutamone (300～450 mg·d-1 ) or control group receiving amitriptyline (150～250 mg·d-1 ) for 8 weeks. Before treatment and at the end of 2,4,8 weeks of treatment,the clinical efficacies were evaluated by HAMD and the side effects were evaluated by TESS. RESULTS:HAMD scores in both groups decreased significantly after the completion of treatment (P0.05) and there was no significant difference between the trial group and the control group (90.0% vs. 87.5%) (P0.05). However,the adverse reactions in the trial group were fewer than in the control group,showing significant differences between the two groups (P0?05). CONCLUSION:Amfebutamone is as effective as amitriptyline but has fewer side-effects for depression." @default.
